Zaman is the owner, principal designer, and in-house architect at Dripping Rainwater. He is also owner of Z Works Design Build and recognized as one of Austin's premiere green builders. As part of his philosophy of creating sustainable living spaces, Zaman has incorporated rainwater collection in nearly all of his custom homes. Over the years he has crafted different ways to integrate the rainwater collection system within the footprint of the actual home.
Zaman has seen the evolution of rainwater collection in Texas and he knows what works, and what doesn't. And when it doesn't, innovation takes the lead. As a result Zaman and Randall have designed and developed their own unique First Flush filter box, and it's a Dripping Rainwater exclusive. |

Back when the idea of utilizing rainwater as a sole source of water for a home was considered daring, if not odd, Randall helped pioneer efforts of making rainwater collection more socially acceptable in his residential community just north of Dripping Springs, Texas.
He also had the unique advantage of understanding what future water challenges lie ahead for state of Texas. In the early 2000s, Randall was the editor of several PBS television documentaries titled: Texas, The State of Water- produced by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Having a front row seat to the warnings given by water scientists and resource protection specialists, Randall became an advocate for water conservation and rainwater collection. |
