The Austin rainwater systems we service are concentrated on the western and southwestern edges — Oak Hill, the Dripping-adjacent 78737 and 78738 areas, and the Hill Country fringe where lots are large and many homes were built with rainwater from the start. Common Austin calls are UV lamps past their life, sediment filters strangling house pressure, and pumps or pressure tanks that have never been serviced. We handle all of it, plus first-flush service, tank inspection, and water testing.

Permitting note
Inside Austin city limits, a rainwater system plumbed into the house is an auxiliary water system under City Code — it needs a City permit, and homeowner permits aren't issued for it. On potable systems the plumbing permit can only be pulled by a master plumber holding a Water Supply Protection Specialist endorsement. Outside the city limits, in unincorporated Travis County, neither applies.

Local conditions
Austin is the exception in our service area: nearly everything inside the city has utility water, so the rainwater systems we service here sit on the western and southwestern fringe, where lots are large, some properties fall outside a service area, and many owners chose rainwater deliberately. The reasons are water quality, drought-stage watering restrictions, and — on bigger homes and landscapes — what it costs to do all of that on city water. Because there's usually a utility connection standing by as backup, an Austin system can quietly degrade for a long time before anyone notices.
